Anderson Wishes Clifton’s Jewish Community a Happy and Blessed Rosh Hashanah

Clifton City Council Candidate Extends Warm Wishes for a Sweet, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year

CLIFTON, N.J. — Clifton City Council candidate Tafari K. Anderson today extended his warmest wishes to Clifton’s Jewish community as families celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

“On behalf of my family and the Anderson for Clifton campaign, I wish our Jewish friends, neighbors and families throughout Clifton a happy, healthy and blessed Rosh Hashanah,” Anderson said. “May this New Year bring peace, good health, prosperity and abundant blessings to every household.”

Rosh Hashanah is a time of prayer, reflection, renewal and hope. Anderson said the holiday also offers the broader Clifton community an opportunity to recognize the faith, traditions and contributions of its Jewish neighbors.

“Clifton is strongest when we respect one another, support one another and celebrate the traditions that make our community unique,” Anderson said. “Families of every faith share the same hopes for safe neighborhoods, strong communities and a better future for our children.”

Anderson also reaffirmed his opposition to antisemitism and religious intolerance.

“Hatred has no place in Clifton,” Anderson said. “Every resident should be able to worship, celebrate their faith and raise their family in safety, dignity and peace.”

Anderson said the message of Rosh Hashanah is one that resonates beyond the Jewish community.

“This season reminds us of the importance of reflection, renewal and asking how we can make the year ahead better than the one before it,” Anderson said. “Those are values that can strengthen our entire community.”

Anderson concluded:

“To Clifton’s Jewish community, Shanah Tovah U’Metukah. May you and your families be inscribed for a good and sweet year filled with health, happiness, peace and prosperity. Happy Rosh Hashanah.”
