Anderson Welcomes Candidate Screening with Latino Leaders of Clifton

Clifton City Council Candidate Celebrates the City’s Diversity and Reaffirms Commitment to Opportunity, Freedom and Strong Communities

CLIFTON, N.J. — Clifton City Council candidate Tafari K. Anderson welcomed the opportunity to participate in the candidate screening hosted by Latino Leaders of Clifton, describing the event as an important opportunity to discuss the future of the city and hear directly from community leaders about the issues affecting Clifton families.

“Clifton’s diversity is one of our greatest strengths,” Anderson said. “Our city is home to families from countless backgrounds, cultures and traditions, and every resident deserves a local government that listens, respects their voice and works to create opportunity for everyone.”

Anderson reaffirmed his strong support for Clifton’s Hispanic community and recognized the many contributions Latino families, entrepreneurs, educators, first responders and community leaders make throughout the city.

“Our Hispanic neighbors are an essential part of Clifton’s story and Clifton’s future,” Anderson said. “Their hard work, entrepreneurship, faith, family values and commitment to community help make our city stronger every day.”

Anderson also emphasized his commitment to the principles of economic opportunity, individual liberty and democratic self-government.

“I stand with every person and family who understands the importance of freedom and who has seen the consequences when government becomes too powerful, whether through socialism, authoritarianism or the erosion of individual rights,” Anderson said. “The lessons of history remind us never to take freedom, opportunity or representative government for granted.”

Anderson said those principles also guide his campaign for Clifton City Council.

“My goal is to build a Clifton where every family has the opportunity to succeed, where small businesses can thrive, where our neighborhoods are safe, and where local government respects taxpayers and remains accountable to the people it serves.”

Anderson concluded:

“I am grateful to Latino Leaders of Clifton for creating a forum where candidates can listen, exchange ideas and discuss the future of our city. Clifton succeeds when every community has a seat at the table and when we move forward together as one city.”
