Anderson for Clifton Announces October 21 Campaign Kickoff and Pasta Dinner

CLIFTON, N.J. — The Anderson for Clifton campaign invites residents, friends, and neighbors to its Campaign Kickoff and Pasta Dinner on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at the Clifton Elks Lodge, 775 Clifton Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013. The evening will offer an opportunity to meet Clifton City Council candidate Tafari K. Anderson, connect with community members, and hear more about his priorities for the city.

“Clifton has given me so much, and I’m looking forward to bringing people together for a night of good food, conversation, and community,” Anderson said. “Whether we have met before or this is your first chance to say hello, I would love to meet you and hear what matters most to you and your family.”

“My focus is on hearing from Clifton residents and discussing practical ideas for safe neighborhoods, accountable spending, responsible development, and reliable infrastructure,” Anderson added. “This kickoff is another chance to have those conversations face to face.”

Ten Commitments to Clifton: Make Clifton Great Again

At the kickoff, Anderson plans to discuss his ten public commitments to the people of Clifton, as outlined on the campaign’s My Commitment to You page:

1. Keep Clifton Safe. Support effective public-safety strategies for families, children, seniors, and every neighborhood.
2. Make Clifton More Affordable. Work to stabilize property taxes, demand disciplined budgeting, and protect residents from unnecessary financial burdens.
3. Support Law Enforcement. Support police staffing, equipment, training, and resources.
4. Stop Reckless Overdevelopment. Scrutinize projects that overwhelm roads, schools, sewers, emergency services, and established neighborhoods.
5. Confront Flooding. Prioritize stormwater improvements and coordinated solutions for repeatedly affected residents.
6. Modernize Aging Infrastructure. Pursue a responsible long-term plan for roads, sewers, water systems, public facilities, and other essential infrastructure.
7. Bring Accountability to City Hall. Seek transparent decisions, accessible public information, measurable results, and clear explanations of taxpayer spending.
8. Strengthen Local Businesses. Reduce unnecessary barriers and encourage responsible investment in Clifton’s commercial districts.
9. Expand Opportunity for Everyone. Promote inclusive recreation, services, and partnerships for seniors, veterans, families, and residents with special needs.
10. Put Clifton Residents First. Remain accessible, listen to both sides of Main Avenue, and place people and progress ahead of partisan politics.
