Anderson Extends Heartfelt Yom Kippur Wishes to Clifton’s Jewish Community

CLIFTON, N.J. — As Yom Kippur begins, Clifton City Council candidate Tafari K. Anderson extends his warmest wishes to Jewish families, friends, and neighbors throughout Clifton.

“On behalf of my family, I want to wish our Jewish neighbors a meaningful and peaceful Yom Kippur,” Anderson said. “This sacred day is an opportunity to reflect, seek forgiveness, reconnect with our faith, and look toward the year ahead with hope. May it bring you and your loved ones peace, comfort, and renewed strength.”

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the Jewish year. Through prayer, fasting, and personal reflection, Jewish communities come together to seek forgiveness and embrace the promise of a new beginning.

Anderson said the occasion is also a reminder of the importance of kindness and understanding in everyday life.

“One of the things I cherish most about Clifton is the incredible diversity of our community,” Anderson said. “We come from different backgrounds, celebrate different traditions, and practice different faiths, but we share something important: we care about our families, our neighbors, and the place we call home.”

Anderson expressed his appreciation for Clifton’s Jewish community and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that every resident feels welcome, respected, and safe.

“Our Jewish neighbors are an important part of the Clifton family. Their traditions, contributions, and commitment to community help make our city a wonderful place to live,” Anderson said. “No one should ever have to feel afraid to practice their faith or celebrate who they are. We must always stand together against antisemitism, hatred, and intolerance.”

Anderson concluded with a personal message:
